Question: Who should do this course?
It is core training, so any parent, teacher, educator, coach, counsellor, psychologist, psychiatrist, pediatrician who comes into contact with children teens or adults with specific learning difficulties or Neurodiversity. The more people from your organisation that do this training, the more effective your efforts will be to support the students or children in your care.
Question: When should we start?
Place your order when you have money in your budget. All users get three months access to course videos and downloadable resources. The three-months will start from the time each user logs in for the first time. You can start at anytime. There is no restriction on when users can get started once they have joined.
Question: How long will it take to complete?
The videos are 30-45 minutes long and there are 7 videos, so allow 4 ½ hours of video watching time. After each video there are three multiple choice questions and you will be asked for two comments. There are a number of resources to download below each video tutorial which will be invaluable for your teaching toolkits. Altogether, this will provide 4.5 professional development points.
Question: I need accreditation for this Professional Development
Not all states and counties have a Professional Development Accreditation Authority. Please note this course has been accredited by one of the most rigorous accreditation authorities, The Australian New South Wales Educational Standards Authority (NESA) to guarantee quality training. Most teachers will be required to log their own PD as ‘Self Identified’. When loading this PD, please be sure to add ‘Accredited’ to the course title as it is approved as quality training. If you are in NSW, we will load the PD for you, just send us your NESA number.

Question: Are there any extra assignments for this course?
There are no assignments, essays or marks awarded. This core skills course will provide you with the knowledge and the tools to support your neurodiverse students. The valuable checklists, strength profilers and extra resources are there for you to use immediately to consolidate your learning and to support your students and colleagues.
